Enrichment Opportunities
- Research Methodology Training Laboratory Fellowship
- OASIS Global Seminars Scholarship
For over twenty years, the Research Methodology Training Laboratory (RMTL) has trained and inspired first-generation and educationally disadvantaged students to pursue their careers in the biomedical and health sciences. RMTL and OASIS are partnering to offer a ten-week, fully funded on-campus fellowship. At the end of the fellowship, students will earn a lab assistant certificate under the guidance of Dr. Eduardo Fricovsky, Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy. This hands-on opportunity is free of cost to students and 80 hours of basic science methodology training in Winter. Additional program benefits include mentorship by supporting staff and workshops and networking events with alumni, academic researchers, and industry professionals. RMTL is open to undocumented students who are CA Dream Act recipients. If you have any questions about eligibility, please contact Undocumented Student Services at undoc@ucsd.edu
The RMTL program offers a full hands-on experience for students in health sciences & mentors them to develop as scientists. Students get to conduct first-hand research, receive laboratory training & access to coaching.
Meet the former RMTL Alumni, learn about their experience in the program and future career aspirations.
