The program's mission is to help students develop as scientists, and it does so by training students in:   

  • Laboratory safety
  • Molecular biology
  • Solutions
  • Molarity
  • Pipetting & more

Students have the opportunity to develop their own research project in areas such as:

  • Purification
  • Enzymes
  • Cellular Biology

At the end of the program, students receive $500 in fellowship funds and a Lab Assistant Certificate of completition that allows them to participate in other labs.

The RMTL team is here to train you in the lab, and offer technical insight, but at the same time they are here as a network to help you navigate everything related to the health/medical fields. Dr. Fricovsky & Ami are available to:

  • Coach you and give you tips about careers in the health/medical fields
  • Write letters of recommendation
  • Help you apply to research opportunities and/or gradute/medical school
  • Connect you to the broader health science research community

 Workshops

Throughout the quarter students will have acess to workshops where they will be exposed to different health issues sorrounding medical research such as:

  • Lifestyle Modification (Type II Diabetes)
  • Pulmonary Workshop: Asthma
  • Substance Abuse
