OASIS’s programs provide holistic support for students at all entry points into UC-San Diego.  All of our programs provide several benefits, such as direct access to professional staff, peer mentorship, community activities and events, academic resources, and scholarship opportunities.  In addition, you will be joining a wide network of like-minded individuals committed to becoming socially just changemakers and making a positive difference in the world.  If you are interested in joining one of our transition programs, please make an appointment with an OASIS Staff Member or check out one of our programs below!

Summer Bridge Students

SUMMER BRIDGE

Summer Bridge is a year-long transition program that begins with an intensive summer residential program and continues throughout the entire school year. The program is open to first-year, first-time UC San Diego admitted students, who are provided knowledge about campus resources, develop the necessary academic skills to be successful, and are supported by a peer mentor and community that will help them feel at home at UC-San Diego.

TRIO STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a retention and success program funded by the U.S. Department of Education that supports students throughout their entire career at UC-San Diego. The program is designed for freshmen and transfer students, and offers tutoring, workshops, mentoring, and extracurricular activities throughout your entire career at UC San Diego.

2nd YEAR EXPERIENCE

2nd Year Experience programs are retention and success programs for second-year students. Using research and asset-based practices, the program exposes students to resources and strategies in overcoming 2nd year challenges through peer mentorship, presentations, and learning community. Are you a second year interested in the program, apply and connect with us!

At Hope Scholars, we are committed to creating a supportive environment for students with foster care, legal guardianship, or unaccompanied homeless backgrounds.
